DJ RAWSHARK (real name Aaron Harrow) began DJing and producing Hip Hop music around 1988. Born and raised in the north of England (Leeds, UK) Aaron was a founding member of the duo BRAINTAX. Under the stage name of DJ TEST, Aaron produced beats, contributed scratches and also vocals for the group’s first two releases; FATHEAD EP (1992) and FUTURE YEARS EP (1997.) The duo eventually parted ways and over the next several years Aaron continued to hone his turntable skills under the new moniker DJ RAWSHARK. He moved from the UK to Italy and then eventually settled in Brooklyn, New York where he currently lives with his wife and two sons.
After a long hiatus from beat production, DJ RAWSHARK has returned with an unique and accomplished style which combines old school core structures with new and novel contemporary elements.
